This is a rare “filled D” mint mark (where the center of the D mark is almost filled in).
I acquired it while living in the U.S., at a shop near Union Square in San Francisco.
It features a portrait of President Kennedy, who is well-known to our generation, so I’ve always treasured it.
I recently learned about its value through a friend, and after doing some research, I’ve decided to list it for sale as part of my end-of-life planning.
