Hong Sooyeon earned her BFA and MFA
in painting at Hongik University.
She went to the US for further study
and earned another MFA from the Pratt
Institute in New York. She became well known
in the art world through solo exhibitions
at a number of art museums and galleries in Seoul,
including Gallery Royal, Ryu Gallery,
Total Museum of Contemporary Art,
POSCO Art Museum, and Kumho Museum.
Beautiful form and color on her artwork
was exquisitely printed on chiffon silk
to produce this Silk Scarf by Hong Sooyeon.
